tonight's agenda is doing nothing that requires too much energy and maybe being home before sunrise. a novel idea that i've never tried out but i've only read the best reviews about it. then again apparently eating right, exercising, and not inhaling toxic fumes every hour or so is supposedly a great way to achieve a longer and healthier life but i'm pretty sure that's all just bullshit fodder for the masses.
there comes a time at every event i work that i must grab my macbook and hole up somewhere dark and preferably away from the dance floor and danger of drunks with bad breath and drink spilling tendencies. that's when i pop open the laptop, turn on some ella (it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing, kids.) and start to download the photos from my memory card to my computer so i can resume my photographing ways. usually one or two people will drop by and ask why i'm being 'lame' or if i'm 'checking myspace'. the answer is always yes to both.
every now and then, though, people will come sit with me and keep me from playing the 'how-far-can-you-throw-a-cannon-rebel' game by huddling with me in the light and abusing such lovely mac features as photobooth. last night was one of those nights.
